A number of fields in scientific work are being developed at the Department:
1) fundamental physics in the production of building materials using nanotechnology;
2) problems of heat and mass transfer and application of the obtained solutions to the problems of construction thermophysics;
3) physics of metals and metal structures; study of the phenomenon of diffusion of aerosol particles and environmental problems;
4) creation of nanocomposite materials and their application for foundation fastening;
5) the physical foundations of science-intensive technologies;
6) physical and mathematical modeling of characteristics of micro- and nanoelectromechanical systems.
