The main fields of study at the Department of General and Applied Physics are:

  • Physics;
  • Fundamental natural science. Physics;
  • Modern concepts of natural science;
  • Thermodynamics and heat transfer;
  • Theoretical hydrodynamics;
  • Experimental aerodynamics;
  • Applied problems of physics;
  • Mathematical physics equations;
  • Experimental and numerical modeling methods;
  • Aerodynamics of structures;
  • Physical and mechanical workshop and computational experiments;
  • Application tasks of hydraulic and gas dynamics;
  • Electronics and circuitry.

A number of fields in scientific work are being developed at the Department:

1) fundamental physics in the production of building materials using nanotechnology;

2) problems of heat and mass transfer and application of the obtained solutions to the problems of construction thermophysics;

3) physics of metals and metal structures; study of the phenomenon of diffusion of aerosol particles and environmental problems;

4) creation of nanocomposite materials and their application for foundation fastening;

5) the physical foundations of science-intensive technologies;

6) physical and mathematical modeling of characteristics of micro- and nanoelectromechanical systems.
