The Day of Culture of the Republic of Chad held at MGSU

The Day of Culture of the Republic of Chad took place at MGSU on October 7, 2023. The guests of honor were representatives of embassies – the delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Chad headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Adam Bechir Mahamoud, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to the Russian Federation Mahamat Paba Sale.

The visit of the foreign delegation began with negotiations at the level of university leaders. MGSU was represented by the Rector Pavel Akimov, Advisor to the Rector Valery Telichenko, Vice-Rector Vera Galishnikova. Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Professional Communication Liliya Metelkova and the Head of the Department of Russian as a foreign language Mary Danielyan attended the meeting as interpreters. During the negotiations, the foreign guests got acquainted with the university and its international activity, its scientific and technical potential; the prospects of cooperation with African Republics were also discussed.

The official part was followed the concert part of the program – the guests were welcomed by students of the Republic of Chad studying at Russian universities. Moreover, a wonderful exhibition was organized, where everyone could learn interesting facts about the culture and traditions of the Republic of Chad and try national food. The event ended with a festive concert. Creative teams performed on the stage with national songs and dances. The concert program turned out to be so amazing that the guests of honor joined the participants on stage.
