38. Experimental stand “Dynamic and vibration monitoring system of substructure-foundation scheme”


The stand is designed for developing of methods which are used to detect and control potentially hazardous alterations in substructure-foundation scheme. The stand operates with procedure of registration and analysis of dynamical characteristics.


The stand contents:

  • rigid support frame
  • support system
  • lift system
  • physical model of a base slab
  • monitoring system of a testing model characteristics and support system parameters
  • system of collecting and analysis of characteristics of monitoring subsystems
  • system of mathematic simulation and interpretation


Parameters of the physical model of the base slab:

· dimensions: length 4 m, width 3 m, thickness 140 mm

· material of a slab: concrete B25, aggregate 5-10 mm

· reinforcement: rod spacing 150 mm, A400 class, diameter 10 mm

· additional elements: 2 hollow transverse steel bars inside the slab


Parameters of the support system:

· total amount of springs: 140

· support spacing: 300 mm

· rigidity of springs: 2 tons/meter


Support system is used to model various soil-structure interaction as:

· increasing and decreasing of reactions at the supports

· modeling an interaction without any particular supports

· modeling of a rigid support
