DEPUTY MINISTER OF CULTURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN VISITS NRU MGSU

Kamola Akilova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited NRU MGSU on December 05, 2019. She took an introductory tour of the university and met with Nadezhda Cherednichenko, Director, Institute of Construction and Architecture.
According to Kamola Akilova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, interest has arisen in the storied history, extensive cultural legacy and most beautiful monuments of architecture in her home country. The executives of the ministry of culture had expressed willingness to train highly qualified restorers. Towards this end, she made a visit to NRU MGSU to learn more about the peculiarities of their training process.
Alevtina Balakina, Director, Department of Architecture, briefed the guest about the training programmes designated for students majoring in architecture and restoration at NRU MGSU and focused on the peculiarities of this profession. Nadezhda Cherednichenko made a point that NRU MGSU maintained long-standing relations with higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, including the Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and mentioned the experience in the joint organization of science conferences.
The guest took particular interest in the Legacy youth forum, launched by the Department of Cultural Legacy of the Moscow City Government together with NRU MGSU. This year, the headquarters of the Pravda newspaper was selected as the contest assignment.
It was the first visit paid by Kamola Akilova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to NRU MGSU. Therefore, she was willing to learn more about the university; she examined the big wind channel designated for research purposes, the Nano-materials and Nano-technologies Centre for Research and Education, and the exhibition of student projects, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Higher Art and Technical Studios (VKhUTEMAS).
