NRU MGSU is expanding its presence in the educational market in Africa

The development of cooperation in scientific and educational spheres between Russia and Africa is discussed in the framework of the business program of the forum "Russia - Africa", which takes place in Sochi on October 23-24. With the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, a discussion panel "Russia - Africa: economic development through science, education and innovation" was held, which was attended by Minister Mikhail Kotyukov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on science, education and culture Igor Morozov, the Rector of the Peoples ' Friendship University of Russia Vladimir Filippov, representatives of African countries and experts. NRU MGSU is expanding its presence in the educational market in Africa. As part of the integrated development of international activities, the University is actively working to strengthen its position in the promising, rapidly developing market of educational services in Africa. One of the latest results of this work was the signed Memorandum of cooperation between NRU MGSU and the University of Johannesburg. The partners agreed to develop cooperation in the field of academic mobility of students and teachers, development of joint educational programs. Meeting with colleagues from the University of Johannesburg took place in the framework of the exhibition African Construction Expo 2019 where NRU MGSU became the only higher education institution in Moscow, represented as part of the joint delegation of the Moscow export center in the framework of the project "Made in Moscow". In total, the University has concluded 5 contracts with universities in various African countries. In the 2019-2020 academic years, it is planned to strengthen cooperation with universities in African countries.
